Ilfochrome Classic print material (formerly known as Cibachrome) is what we use to print from transparencies. We use the archival glossy polyester surface material. If you prefer a matte or lusture surface we can apply a matte or luster laminate.

What's the Ilfochrome Classic difference?

The Ilfochrome photographic printing process is unique because the azo-metallic dyes used to reproduce the color image are built into the paper itself. They are manufactured using precise factory standards resulting in very pure, extremely stable dyes.

 A note about masking...

In order to make the best possible print from your transparency, we sometimes need to make what's called a "contrast mask" for your transparency. The mask is needed when your transparency contains a high range of contrast. It helps us to maintain highlight and shadow details in your print. The contrast mask costs $15.00 for 35mm through 4X5, and $25.00 for 8X10. And it's yours to keep for future printing.
